About the Platform

This is an interactive platform for the processing of research protocols by the Health Research Ethics Committee (HREC).

Kindly register to create a personal account by using a unique username and password.

Log in with your username and password, follow the instruction on each page of the platform.

Researchers are encouraged to monitor their e-mail boxes FREQUENTLY after submission of research protocols on this platform. The HREC will not be liable for unmet deadlines as a result of missed mails.

Researchers submitting protocols for review should kindly note that it takes a MINIMUM of six weeks to complete the cycle of review of research protocols.

Preparation for submission,

1. Choose the appropriate format of research protocol and download for editing.
2. The signature page must be appropriately signed by the researcher and supervisor (if required). This document should be scanned and uploaded separately to authenticate the submission. A document submitted without the appropriate signatures remain invalid and will not be processed further.
3. Download the Informed Consent form and edit appropriately (adapt for your research) and re-upload.
4. Make the required fee payment by interbank transfer to the specified bank detail and upload a proof of payment along with the completed research protocol format.
